Active programme for project weeks in SalzburgerLand

Our deliberately chosen sports & adventure programme makes for a unique and unforgettable experience with classmates, friends or with the family. Both, the little and the big adventurer will find their suitable offer. 

Safety is our biggest priority with all the sports & adventure modules. That's why we only work with professional partners and excellently trained and certified guides
The weather situation (thunder storms), water levels or other external influences may sometimes lead to changing, postponing or in case of necessity cancelling the programme. These decisions will only be made by our experienced partners.

We are happy to organise the complete programme from A to Z for school and youth groups that have booked a package. 






Canyoning

Canyoning
When canyoning, you hike through a canyon from top to bottom, and differences in height will be conquered by jumping (2-9 meters), abseiling or sliding. 

Next to the sportive challenge it also is a unique experience of nature as you walk where one normally doesn't.

Conditions: Swimming skills, jumping from at least two meters, steady footing
Equipment from the organiser: neoprene socks, wet suit, helmet
Please bring: Swim wear, towel, sneakers or trainers that may get wet, dry second pair of shoes and socks, for young people under 18 a form of the participation conditions signed by the parents.

Rafting

Rafting in the Salzburgerland
For school and youth groups as well as for families the rafting tours are in minor wild water.
Accompanied by a certified boatman nothing can stop you from an unforgetable and adventurous ride in the most exciting rafting-area of the Salzach. 

For the experienced in rafting there are more difficult tours in challenging wild waters are available.

Conditions: Swimming skills
Equipment from the organiser: Neoprene boots, wet suit, swim vests, helmet

At the Youth Hotel and in the surrounding area there are numerous possibilities for climbing whether you are beginner or advanced.
Climbing courses and high rope courses are especially suitable for school and youth groups to promote social competence.

High rope course

High rope course When climbing in the high rope course in approx. 9 - 12 meters, one often exceeds personal limits. 

Climbing in the high rope course in winter Especially self confidence, team spirit and communication skills are being promoted with this module.

Climbing park Anif

Climbing park Anif (c) This climbing park is admidst an idyllic forest directly on the shore of the forest bath (Waldbad) Anif.
There are four different climbing programmes with different levels of difficulty from 2 to 15 meters. 

There is also the possibility of "floating" across the lake with the 350 meter long Flying Fox.

Conditions: no vertigo (no fear of height)
Please bring: Solid sneakers or trainers, comfortable clothes, for young people under 18 a form of the participation conditions signed by the partens.

Alpine park ACS

Alpine park ACS The Alpine park has a unique high rope and via ferratta course in Austria. 

In 30-40 meter high rock faces and canyons there are hanging bridges, cable railway, abseiling points, a spiderweb hanging in the middle of the rock face and many more. With one jump from the rock face you'll be brought back to safe ground by the spectacular Flying Fox.

Conditions: No vertigo! Minimum age 12 years
Please bring:  Solid sneakers or trainers, long sleeved sportswear; for young people under 18 a form of the participation conditions singed by the parents.

Caving

Caving
After hiking to the entrance of the cave for 30 min you are going to explore the cave together with a certified cave-guide. You are going to slip through narrow passages into overwhelming halls. There is no fixed path through the mountain-labyrinth, so that you will have to climb and balance a little.  

Conditions: no claustrophobia
Equipment from the organiser: Protective suit, helmet, headlight

Flying Fox

Flying Fox
The flight adventure with the Flying Fox lets you float through the air by attaching a pulley to a steel cable. Adrenaline-junkies can experience ultimative flights on the XXL Flying Fox in Leogang and the 'Europarutsche' in Saalbach, where you can float over valleys and canyons in high speed.

XXL Flying Fox

XXL Flying Fox in Leogang
The XXL Flying Fox in Leogang (55 km) enables a top speed of 130 km/h and therefore is one of the fastest and longest
(1,6 km) steel cable-slides in the world. 

The flying altitude on the way to the valley is up to 140 meters and guarantees an unforgettable experience of the special kind. Breaking happens automatically. 

Conditions: no vertigo, from 35 to maximum 120 kg body weight, minimum age 10 year.

Europarutsche

Europarutsche in Saalbach
The "Europarutsche" in Saalbach (59 km) is 700 meters long and therefore the longest tightrope park - cable slide in Europe. You can reach a speed of up to 70 km/h and float in an altitude of up to 120 m over the valley. 

Conditions: no vertigo, from 40 to maximum110 kg body weight
Please bring: solid sneakers or trainers, comfortable clothing, for young people under 18 a form of the participation conditions signed by the parents

Segway

Segway
Riding a Segway requires concentration and a good sense of your own body. It moves only by shifting your body weight

Segway
Our partner will come to the Youth Hotel with the Segways. On the hotel grounds everybody can show their skills and try out different disciplines like slalom, ramps, limbo-stick and many more.

Of course advanced Segway-Riders can book more difficult tours like the Lake-tour, Mountain pasture-tour or X-Cross tour. Some tours are also possible in winter! (Transfer is needed) 


Conditions: From 40 to maximum 120 kg body weight
Minimum number of participants: 6 people

Mountain Cart

Mountain Cart
The mountain cart is a newly developed fun-sports equipment, which 'tobogganing' possible during all season.

On a mountain cart guided tour the group will be taken to the alpine pastures with a shuttle. After a cosy retreat off you go downhill to the valley on the traffic-free toboggan track in the mountaincart, protected by helmet. Prior to the ride, a guide will train you. 

Conditions: Minimum age of 8 years

Zorbing

Zorbing
When doing zorbing you roll down hill head first in a massive ball. The Zorbonaut is buckled up and protected all-round by air cushions.

Huge loopings, turns and jumps will let you lose sight of the horizon for a short time. A huge amount of fun and an unforgettable experience! Transfer needed!

Paintball

Paintball
Paintball is a team sport, where opponents are being marked by shooting paintballs. Marked players have to leave the field. 

This sport is full of action and unites team spirit, sport and fun. Intelligence and willpower are as important as speed, maneuverability and skillfulness to win a game in Paintball.
The Paintball-centre is in Alpendorf on 1238m above sealevel next to the 'Kreistenalm'.

Conditions: Minimum age of 14 years, for young people under 18 the parents' signature.

Mountainbike

Bike rental in the Youth hotel Weitenmoos
Mountainbike-tours & Bike rental:
You can rent mountain bikes, trekking bikes and e-bikes at "Better:bike" in Alpendorf (1 km) They also offer guided
half-day and full-day bike tours for different skill-levels.


Biking in the Salzburgerland
Bikepark Wagrain:
The bike park in Wagrain (14 km) offers a cool mix of trails, jumps, tables and countless steep bends for beginners as well as advanced. Tracks like 'ON AIR' or 'SYMPHONY' will set each freerider's and downhiller's heart race.

Prevention of violence & self-defense lecture

Prevention of violence
Unfortunately young people are more and more frequently confronted with violence, aggressions and crime in everyday life. A film presentation and practical tips with easy code of behaviour show the young people how to notice safety hazards in advance and prevent them.

An officer of the task force 'Cobra' will also show the participants how to use everyday-items (e.g. handbag, keys, umbrella, etc.) in an emergency for self-defense correctly.
The pros and cons of different technical devices and their correct usage are also subjects of the lecture. (e.g. acoustical alarm device, pepper spray etc.)

Duration of the lecture approximately 1,5 h

Self-defense course

Self-defense course
The self-defense course is held by a close combat trainer of the task force 'Cobra'. Attacks are being reconstructed, analysed and processed together. The participants learn techniques for self-defense when attacked.

You will also be shown how everyday items (handbags, keys, umbrella, etc.) can be used correctly for self-defense in an emergency, how to use different technical devices corretly and what pros and cons they have (e.g. acoustical alarm device, pepper spray, etc.)
